FISHERIES TRAINING INSTITUTE TO HOLD ITS 39TH GRADUATION CEREMONY
The Fisheries Training Institute (FTI), Entebbe, is pleased to announce its 39th Graduation Ceremony, scheduled to take place on Friday, 13th November 2026, at 9:00 a.m. at the Institute’s campus grounds in Entebbe.
The ceremony will bring together graduands, their families, friends, invited guests, stakeholders and the Institute community to celebrate the successful completion of academic and professional training programmes by the graduating students.
Held under the theme “Scaling the fisheries, aquaculture, and the maritime value chain through skilling for the sustainable economic growth,” this year’s graduation highlights the important role of practical skills development in strengthening Uganda’s fisheries, aquaculture and maritime sectors. It also recognises the contribution of skilled professionals to employment creation, innovation, improved livelihoods and sustainable economic development.
As a specialised institution in fisheries and aquaculture training, FTI continues to equip learners with relevant knowledge, practical competencies and professional values to respond to the changing needs of the sector. The graduation ceremony will therefore provide an opportunity to recognise the achievements of the graduands and reaffirm the Institute’s commitment to producing competent and skilled graduates.
The Institute warmly invites parents, guardians, alumni, development partners, industry stakeholders and the general public to join in celebrating this important milestone.
