On February 13th, 2024, the institute commissioned a solar-powered water pump and lighting infrastructure. Authorities emphasize that this initiative aims to mitigate the financial strain caused by exorbitant water and electricity costs
The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Industry, and Fisheries, who oversaw the commissioning ceremony, underscored the significance of this innovative approach. He stated, “The imperative for sustainable solutions in today’s world cannot be overstated. Through the adoption of solar power, FTI is not only cutting down on its utility expenses but also serving as a model for other educational institutions.”
