FTI offers on-campus accommodation to her students that want to live with in the Institute
Most students live within the Institute housing and it’s easy to see why:
- Convenience to Classes
- Renovated hostels
- WiFi connectivity
- The chance to connect with hall and floor mates and get involved in campus activities.
The hostels are located on campus. You will live in a social and supportive atmosphere with wardens and tutors on hand to help you every step of the way and student reps to organize events and activities for you all to get to know each other
Through our sports activities, every student can create their own exceptional and fulfilling student experience with opportunities to learn, grow, thrive, belong and be celebrated.
Sports activities include: Football, Volleyball, Netball, Athletics and Boat Racing among others. Join in one of the sports activities to stay involved. Looking forward to receiving you.
The Students Guild is a link between the students’ body and the Administration. It is headed by a Guild President who is democratically elected by the students in accordance with the existing guidelines.
The Institute offers a number of opportunities for emerging to experienced leaders to expand their leadership toolboxes through several leadership positions such as:
The Guild President
Vice Guild President
Finance
Health among others
For First Year Students, there’s an orientation schedule during their second week in the institution. This Orientation period usually helps students to get acquainted with the new environment around them (Entebbe in general) and also within the Institute.

Different cultures are showcased through the different Regional Student Associations such as the Northern, Eastern, Western Uganda Students’ Associations, Nkobazambogo, Basoga Nsette. The cultures are showcased in an annual Cultural Galla where the different associations come up to showcase their cultures in art, dance and drama.
All religions are accepted at the Institution. The Institution has three worship clubs which include:
- The Roman Catholics
- The Anglicans/ Protestants
- The Pentecostals
- The Muslims
These are allowed to converge and worship
